"Oh, say, can you see...?"

Today I was driving to work and since I am a grown-up person, I listen to radio instead of CD now. So they came up with this song, "Need You Know" by Lady Antebellum. Not that I never heard it before, but today I was listening to it and I thought that it was a pretty nice pop song. BUT!!! It is a pop song trying to be country. And why? Because it is American!
To be honest I think that those little guitar tunes in the chorus are extremely unnecessary and they are a proof, that America (and specially this band) is trying to hard to make typical "American stuff". I don't think that it ruined the song, but I would prefer it without that strange things going on in the middle of it.
Honestly we already we know that Taylor Swift is American, [I don't think that she is making country music, but ok... everyone else things that... and AMERICA is saying that -.-] so why do Lady Antebellum mess up their songs like this??? Blaahhhhhh. It's just mindfucking to me.
